Argentina News.Net Friday 15th August, 2008
The death toll in Vietnam from tropical storm Kammuri and the resultant floods has risen to at least 127 people.
34 people are still missing after the
heavy rains, flash flooding and landslides in Vietnam's northern mountainous provinces destroyed nearly 800 houses.
Some 17,800 other buildings were flooded and damaged while 15,200 hectares of crops were wiped out.
With water levels now starting to drop, efforts are being concentrated on helping the displaced people in the disaster area.
