Christian deaths blamed on Hindu political leaders
Argentina News.Net Tuesday 14th October, 2008
Indian church leaders have condemned hard-line political Hindus for killing Christians to win votes in upcoming national elections.
Leaders from the council on Tuesday said violence in Orissa had been led by hard-line Hindu parties who were whipping up religious fervor prior to national elections.
The All India Christian Council claims Hindu activists have been taking severe retaliatory action after blaming Christians for the slaying of a Hindu leader in Orissa on August 23rd.
The attacks have left nearly sixty dead and thousands of people homeless, with many churches destroyed.
Even though the Orissa government has blamed the killing on Maoists in the state, the Christian killings have continued.
For some time now, Hindu leaders have accused Christian missionaries of forcing low-caste Hindus to convert.
Around 2.5 percent of India's 1.1 billion people are Christians, while more than 80 percent are Hindu. Email this story to a friend

From education to health care, Christians provided everything and this is what they get. Missionaries will not stop working because serving is their 'call'.

Fear comes from the weak
It was the weak that crucified Jesus because they are afraid because he challenged their beliefs to the core.. Jesus also showed that death is an illusion, so the fear is not king.. Poor Hindus are afraid that as people learn the truth of Jesus teachings that their world will change.. Fear not, love is not your enemy it is your saviour from fear.

Not Making the News in America
I am appalled by the lack of reporting on these and other incidents in the US media. I have to search the internet to find out this information from news sources of other countries.

Hindus in General are against these killings
It is a shame and so many Innocent Indian Christians are being killed. General Hindus are opposed to these killings.
This is all politically motivated because of Elections. Do not sow the seeds of hate between these communities. We get along fine with eachother.
Lets not forget the foreign Christian preachers who are to be blamed for this aswell. Even Christian Preists in Kerala were complaining about these Evangelist Christian preachers who come over from the west and give incentives to the poor uneducated class and convert them to Christianity, which resulted in Churches in Kerala being attacked. If they want to help these classes it is always welcome, but changing the religious demography through incentives is unacceptable. At the same time the Indian Govt too is to blame for ignoring these classes and providing these Evangelists with these opportunities. It is wrong to assume that a bunch of Hindus just woke up in the morning and thought it was a good idea to go on a Christian killing spree. Theres much more to the incident if you dig deeper. But I do want to repeat that killing innocent Christians is wrong and these Hindu extremists should be brought to justice. These Evangelists should be caught and brought to justice aswell and Christians in India do not want them there as their actions results in innocent Indian Christians being victimised.
On another note Americans have no right to judge Indians or Hindus. Have a good look into your own backyard first before passing comments on Indias integrity.
