BUENOS AIRES, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Oscar Benitez and Augusto Lotti scored in each half as Atletico Tucuman secured a 2-0 home victory over Velez Sarsfield in Argentina's Primera Division on Monday.
Benitez gave the hosts an early lead by finishing coolly after Javier Toledo's pass and Lotti doubled the advantage with a close-range strike 14 minutes from time.
Velez still lead the 13-team Group B standings with six wins, one draw and two losses while Atletico Tucuman are ninth, seven points off the pace.
Meanwhile, Newell's Old Boys came from behind to set up a shock 3-1 victory at second-placed Lanus.
Jose Sand struck early for the hosts but the visitors equalized through Jonatan Cristaldo before Jeronimo Cacciabue netted twice in 12 minutes as Newell's secured their first win of the season.
In Monday's only other match, Huracan cruised to a 3-0 win at home to Sarmiento thanks to a Juan Fernando Garro brace and a late strike from Sebastian Ramirez.
