Uruguayan defender Sant'Anna joins Brazil's Bragantino

RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's Bragantino has reached an agreement with Argentine side River Plate to sign defender Agustin Sant'Anna, the Sao Paulo-based club said on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Uruguayan signed a deal that ties him to Bragantino until December 2027.

"I'm very happy with the plan that this club has and we're going to be aiming high," Sant'Anna said in a video posted on social media.

The right-back, who received his first call-up to Uruguay's national squad last September, made just 13 appearances for River Plate after joining the club from Defensa y Justicia last February.

He is Bragantino's sixth new signing of the season, joining Isidro Pitta, Fernando, Lucas Barbosa, Guzman Rodriguez and Gabriel.
