MADRID, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Real Betis has made its seventh signing of the summer with central defender Valentin Gomez joining from Argentina's Velez Sarsfield for around five million euros (six million U.S. dollars).
Gomez, 22, made 124 appearances for Velez, scoring three goals.
The Argentinian's arrival continues a busy summer for Betis, as last season's UEFA Conference League finalist prepares to compete in La Liga and the Europa League after finishing sixth in La Liga.
The club has also signed central defenders Natan from Napoli and Gonzalo Petit from Club Nacional, along with goalkeepers Alvaro Valles and Pau Lopez, left-back Junior Firpo from Leeds United and winger Rodrigo Riquelme from Atletico Madrid.
