BUENOS AIRES, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Argentina announced on Monday the issuance of a treasury bond worth up to 1 billion U.S. dollars targeting international investors.

The bond will be subscribed exclusively in dollars, while its issuance and payment will be in Argentine pesos, said Argentina's Ministry of Economy.

According to an official communication, the nominal annual interest rate that the instrument will accrue will be fixed and determined in the tender.

"Argentina is once again gaining access to international markets to refinance debt capital in local currency," Argentine Economy Minister Luis Caputo said on the social media platform X. He further said that the operation will not lead to an increase in gross or net debt.
